LiStir 3P offers precise homogeneous mixing in all 96 wells of an SBS plate. Its innovative stirring design removes all edge effects normally seen in high count multi well stirrers - making its the leading instrument for high thought-put research. Design to integrate under a liquid handler, this Stirrer has three positions that allow SBS formal plates and blocks. Temperature ranges from RT to 180C. Stirring speed ranges from 50 RPM to 800 RPM. Its shell is all 316SS construction and its controls box is detached from the unit making is suitable to be used inside a glovebox, or a hood. It can be either controlled as a standalone unit or controlled via a PLC or a computer.

These innovative stirrers allow custom applications ranging from gentle stirring for cell cultures to aggressive mixing of viscous liquids. Four memory profiles can be stored that control speed, ramp rate, stir direction, time and powder level. Automatic mode allows recall of a stored program. A manual mode can also be selected that provides stir, stir reverse and time functions. The multi-position model features synchronized operation of all four stirring surfaces. This ensures the exact mixing parameters for each vessel and reduces error. These stirrers can be used in a cold room at 0°C or in an incubator up to 38°C.

The soft-start/stop feature provides slow acceleration and deceleration of the stirrer, avoiding excessive turbulence in the culture media and eliminating cell damage. Use the interval stirring mode during the attachment phase to further reduce agitation of the media or when culturing particularly fragile cells. The stirrers create virtually no heat making them suitable for use in both incubators and cold rooms. The culture vessels incorporate a unique base design which, together with the bulb-ended stirrer, ensures that the cells are lifted into suspension at the lowest possible speeds. CELLspin is a programmable spinning system with remote control for stirring culture volumes from 50 to 1000 mL at up to 75 rpm. The unit duplicates gentle stirring conditions in up to four spin flasks. Each flask is fitted with specially rounded glass impellers that provide oscillating circular movement to guarantee low shear force while maintaining optimum mixing.The pendular angle and interval between turns of the impellers can be programmed individually. The CELLspin also performs continuous circular stirring. The remote controller has a digital display and advanced features such as cyclical mode, ramp up, down, forward, and reverse.The complete unit includes a timer with alarm.
